Intake Specialist II

Job Summary:
The Integrated Care Intake Specialist II is responsible to complete all activities related to incoming alerts/referrals received from the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) in a timely manner. The Integrated Care Intake Specialist II is also responsible to ensure that updates are made in the clinical documentation system as well as program specific tasks. The Integrated Care Intake Specialist II has additional specialized duties related to the programs.
Essential Functions:
- Complete activities necessary to ensure that alerts/referrals are completed in the timeframes established per the contract with Ohio Department of Medicaid
- Complete activities necessary to ensure the updates are completed in the clinical documentation system
- Ensure that tasks related to the Specialized Recovery Services Program (SRSP) Weekly Determination are completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner
- Ensure that SRSP Weekly Determination Results are processed correctly and sent to the appropriate team
- Complete activities necessary related to MyCare Transfers/Disenrollments
- Ensure that tasks are completed when an enrolled individual passes away
- Assist with billing activities as needed
- Cross train team members and assist with new hire training
- Provide basic training to delegate partners
- Develops step by step instructions for activities and tasks completed by the Integrated Care Intake Specialist I and II in collaboration with team.
- Complete activities related to State Hearings to ensure that all required tasks are completed.
- Perform any other job related instructions as requested
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare environment is required
- Managed care experience is preferred

- Working knowledge of Ohio Department of Medicaid’s systems
- Working knowledge of the Bureau of State Hearings’ system

Compensation Range:
$40,400.00 - $64,700.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
