Job Summary:
Pharmacist I - Rx Solutions Center (RSC) is responsible for supporting the department and organizational strategies, goals and vision. Utilizing pharmaceutical and clinical expertise to improve the health and well-being of our members.
Essential Functions:
- Execute pharmacy programs and clinical pharmacy initiatives that optimize medication therapy management, improve quality of care, and reduce costs
- Conducts comprehensive medication reviews to ensure appropriate utilization, drug interactions, gaps in care, unnecessary medication, ineffective medications, inappropriate doses, adherence barriers, and overall medication adherence
- Determines appropriate interventions to resolve medication therapy problems, achieve goals of therapy, and prevent new problems for members
- Supports STAR measures and/or other clinical programs
- Documents all activities involved with clinical calling programs in a timely manner
- Act as primary contact for providers and members about pharmacy and medication related issues
- Provide support and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to drive clinical initiatives
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
- PharmD preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of retail pharmacy experience is preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year managed care or Medicare experience is preferred

- Computer proficient with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare

Licensure and Certification:
- Current, unrestricted Ohio Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure is required
- Ability to acquire additional state license(s), as required
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
