Manager, Information Security (Cyber Risk/GRC Focused)

Job Summary:
The Manager, Information Security is responsible for managing the Information Security department including setting vision, direction and execution.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain information security program that implements processes and controls to protect business interests
- Manage IT security threats and vulnerabilities to acceptable risk levels
- Assist in developing remediation plans for newly discovered threats and vulnerabilities
- Manage communication and reporting of new threats and vulnerability and oversee remediation
- Ensure security requirements are included in the evaluation, selection, implementation and configuration of information technology (hardware, software, applications)
- Foster relationship management through communication to key business stakeholders
- Publish metrics regarding the operating effectiveness of information security controls
- Hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and provide leadership and coaching for direct reports including technical and personal development
- Lead department projects from inception/design through implementation
- Coordinate and manage vendor relationships and accountability on project involvement and deliverables
- Leverage personnel to develop and implement new programs and systems in relation to assigned responsibilities that produce high-quality, functional solutions
- Recommend changes or modify solutions as necessary to implement enhancements, resolve issues, or improve operating efficiency
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in computer science or computer engineering field or equivalent years relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of related IT experience is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT Management is preferred
- Project planning and project management experience is preferred

- Advanced system configuration skills
- Strong knowledge of best practices relative to Information Security standards
- Proficient in Microsoft technologies (infrastructure or application development)
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, and developing IT security system technologies
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to security
- Ability to set and manage priorities to meet workloads and deadlines
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Effective management and leadership ability
Licensure and Certification:
- Certified Information Systems Security Profession (CISSP), Certified Information Security manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), or other Information Security or IT Management specific certifications are preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
