LABORATORY ASST (Grad Student)

Job Summary
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate recording and analysis of test data, including thermal and electrical measurements. Support the continuous improvement of testing procedures and uphold data integrity throughout the testing process.
This position will not involve instruction, mentoring, or tutoring.
Responsibilities*
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Record and analyze test data, including measurements of thermal and electrical properties.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data throughout the testing process.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain data integrity by implementing thorough documentation and quality control practices.
Required Qualifications*
- UM-Flint student
- At least two years of courses in mechanical engineering or related field
Desired Qualifications*
Some experience in performing standard laboratory procedures.
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
