Job Summary
Assist the Technical Manager with work within the Stage and Scene Shop.
Responsibilities*
- Assist in setting up props and electrical equipment including microphones, lighting and special effects equipment for internal and external events
- Operate switchboard for theater lights and sound
- Aid in construction of scenic elements for Department of Theatre & Dance productions.
Required Qualifications*
- Must be a student enrolled at the University of Michigan-Flint.
Desired Qualifications*
- An interest in theatre and/or live event production.
- Any level of experience with backstage work, A/V equipment, lighting, and construction is preferred but not required. You will be trained on the job.
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
