At ROWE, our core values include safety, quality, people, service, and growth. We are seeking a Planning Intern to join our proactive team of ethical, talented, passionate professionals and leaders for our 2026 summer internship program.

POSITION SUMMARY

ROWE is currently looking for Planning Intern to join our team. You will be based out of either our corporate Flint office or our Farmington Hills office. Planning Interns will work under the supervision of a Senior Planner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Assist in updating/drafting a variety of community plans in areas such as land use, parks and recreation, zoning, and downtown development.

• Assist the planning team during public engagement in various phases of Master Plan development.
• Assist in reviewing development applications for consistency with zoning ordinance standards.
• Research and report writing.
• Assist in map making in Arc Map or Arc Pro.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking forward-thinking, safety-conscious, and energetic individuals who are excited to work on both small-scale and large-scale projects. Qualifications include:

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or an equivalent field of study.
• Experience with Arc Map or Arc Pro a plus.
• Ability to interact well with coworkers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgement capabilities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work remote and in person effectively
