Since being founded in 1923, Mott Community College (MCC) has established a tradition of excellence and has grown to become the largest college in the Genesee County region. In 2011, the Washington, D.C.-based Aspen Institute designated MCC as one of the top ten community colleges in the nation. MCC works with area residents, labor, business, government, and other educational institutions to make sure our curriculum complements employers' training needs while providing the most cost-effective educational options in the area. Our programs focus on university transfer, technical and lifelong learning, as well as workforce and economic development—that promote student success, individual development, and improve the overall quality of life in the multicultural community we serve. MCC alumni have gone on to become corporate leaders, international engineers, university professors, doctors, scientists, artists, and leaders in a hundred professions. MCC alumni are judges, mayors, legislators.
