Who We Want Miller Industries is seeking a Welding Apprentice on our 1st Shift in Fenton, MI. 1st Shift hours are Monday – Friday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, with some overtime hours on weekends as needed for production. We are seeking a candidate starting your welding education and experience in High School, Skilled Trade Center or College and is ready to take the next step to become a Welding Apprentice. What You Get Paid The position pays a competitive hourly rate. What Requirements Are Needed High School diploma or equivalent, Technical or Vocational school certification or equivalent Requirement and 6 months+ of welding education and/or experience in high school, skilled trade center or college. Physical & Mental Requirements The job is performed in a manufacturing setting regularly exposed to the following: noise, fumes, dirt, heat, sparks, smoke, dust, vibration, grease, moving objects/parts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Work may include exposure to hazardous chemicals. Inside working conditions with exposure to hot and cold conditions. Must have the physical, mental strength, and endurance to perform duties. Physical ability to frequently walk, stand for extended periods of time, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, twist, turn, and lift while performing functions of position. Must be able to reach overhead and climb ladders as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
