Who We Want
Miller Industries is seeking an HR Intern to work in Fenton, Michigan for the summer of 2026. The HR Intern will assist with a range of HR projects related to employee relations, compliance, HRIS, and other programs in a manufacturing and office environment. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field. The HR Intern should be prepared to multitask and collaborate with employees at all levels of the company.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Act as backup for the Front Desk Attendant when needed.
  • Support recruitment with posting positions, screening applicants and scheduling interviews.
  • May assist with payroll functions including time sheet processing, answering employee questions, and correcting entries in the time management system.
  • Assists with planning and execution of engagement focused events such as benefits updates, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What Requirements Are Needed
Education: Undergraduate/Graduate student attending an accredited university with an emphasis in Human Resources. Preference will be given to candidates at the Junior or Senior status.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong self-motivation, a team player and a quick learner.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
