Who We Want
Miller Industries is seeking an Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Clerk to work on our 1st Shift. The hours are 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, with overtime as required for production on weekends.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of raw materials, fabricated components, consumable goods, and project gear.
  • Record and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments, including part numbers and quantities while keeping a transaction log. This will be a shared document accessible by team members to use as a tool for locating material.
  • Communicate with vendors, freight carriers, and internal departments to coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.
  • Prepare and maintain bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels as needed.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in the inventory management system. Work with Purchasing on RMA’s.
  • Support production by tracking usage of materials and ensuring timely restocking of essential items that need to be ordered or transferred out of storage.
  • Assist with logistics planning for large or oversized modular unit shipments.

What Requirements Are Needed
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and tracking,
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise shipping documentation.
  • Ability to multi-task various projects.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safe and positive work environment.
Physical & Mental Requirements
The job is performed in a manufacturing setting regularly exposed to the following: noise, fumes, dirt, heat, sparks, smoke, dust, vibration, grease, moving objects/parts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Work may include exposure to hazardous chemicals. Inside working conditions with exposure to hot and cold conditions.
Must have the physical, mental strength, and endurance to perform duties. Physical ability to frequently walk, stand for extended periods of time, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, twist, turn, and lift while performing functions of position. Must be able to reach overhead and climb ladders as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
