Who We Want
Miller Industries is seeking a 3rdShift Beam line/Angle line Operator. The hours are 9 p.m. - 5:30 a.m., Sunday – Friday, with overtime as required for production on weekends.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Independently setting up and running beam line and angle line equipment.
  • Uses knowledge of difference in operation and adjustments needed in cutting one alloy and gauge of material versus another.
  • Performs routine machine operation diagnostic and trouble shooting.
  • Downloads program and nesting.
  • Verifies measurement of cut material.
  • Accurately counts parts as needed.
  • Manages remnant inventory, scrap and organizes for efficient operation.
  • Moves material to next operation or storage area using overhead crane.
  • Ensures safe working practices are followed, wears PPE and has priority in safety.
  • Performs work within acceptable quality and productivity standards.
  • Applies a basic understanding of blueprints and tolerances that relate to assigned tasks.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner. Keeps work area organized and as clean as possible while working and clean up all tooling, machinery and work area when finished with each job.
  • Notifies direct supervisor of any equipment or tooling that is damaged or not working properly.
  • Maintains accurate records of time and quantities.

What Requirements Are Needed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience with beam line, angle line equipment or similar equipment preferred.
  • Understands operation of robotics and importing of solid model files.
  • Ability to recognize and follow production priorities.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
  • Able to read and comprehend material nesting.
  • Team player who can also perform without supervision.
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties. Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
