Position Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. Perform treatment simulations, fabricates all necessary shielding blocks, and maintain accurate EMR. Prepares equipment for patient treatments performing quality control and assurance tests, ensuring proper infection control techniques, and adheres to optimal radiation safety and protection practices. All activities reflect the philosophy, goals, objectives and standards of McLaren and nationally accepted standards of practice, provisions of quality patient care, environmental safety and inter-disciplinary cooperation. Maintains professional working relationships with medical staff.
Required:
  • Successful completion of an AMA accredited course of study in Radiation Therapy Technology.
  • Certification as a Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT). If not registered at hire, must be within six (6) months.
Preferred:
  • ARRT registered in Radiation Therapy
