Shift: Nights
Daily Work Times: 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 72
Position Summary:
Assumes responsibility for obtaining current accurate information and expanding knowledge base through utilization of appropriate resources. Responsible for 24-hour interpretation of all telemetry patients. Communicates with Registered Nurse and Nursing Assistant via Cisco phone system to accurately manage telemetry needs and rhythm changes. Completes rhythm interpretation and documentation every 2 hours and runs a comprehensive report (telemetry strips) and posts to patient charts every 6 hours. Obtains accurate data as to phone assignments for all telemetry capable units. Reviews report sheets at the end of the shift with his/her replacement.
Required
- High school diploma
- Must pass required ECG test by posting end date be eligible for position
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Telemetry/Monitor Tech
- Previous experience and/or training in an approved program (EKG Interpretation, EMT/Paramedic, etc.)
