| Position Overview We are seeking a highly proactive and relationship-driven Physician Engagement & Growth Manager to serve as the primary partner and point of contact for all referring and prescribing physicians. This role is responsible for building strong clinical relationships, identifying new referral and collaboration opportunities, and ensuring seamless communication between physicians and our internal teams. The ideal candidate excels in physician outreach, workflow optimization, problem-solving, and driving strategic growth through consistent provider engagement. This position will work closely with the pharmacy, operations, and clinical teams to ensure physicians and their patients receive a smooth, efficient, and high-quality experience—while tracking performance metrics and contributing to organizational growth. Key Responsibilities - Physician Outreach & Relationship Management
- Serve as the main liaison between physicians, clinics, and internal teams to maintain strong, trust-based relationships.
- Conduct routine outreach, check-ins, and follow-ups with all prescribing and referring physicians.
- Address concerns, workflow issues, and information gaps quickly and professionally.
- Maintain high physician satisfaction and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Step in to assist with Prior authorizations or operations during high-volume periods or staffing gaps.
Growth & Referral Development - Identify and pursue new opportunities for physician engagement, referrals, and service expansion.
- Develop and maintain a referral pipeline, targeting strategic specialties and high-value clinical partners.
- Present pharmacy and clinical services, highlighting value, efficiency, and patient care benefits.
- Work with leadership to develop physician growth strategies and expansion initiatives.
- Proactively step in to assist with prior authorizations or operational duties as needed to ensure exceptional service continuity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with pharmacy, operations, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure smooth workflows for ordering, prescribing, and referrals.
- Troubleshoot operational or clinical issues that may impact physician satisfaction or patient service.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align processes with provider needs and expectations.
- Assist in onboarding new physicians, ensuring they are trained and fully supported in workflows.
Tracking & Performance Monitoring - Track physician engagement trends, referral volume, prescribing patterns, and growth metrics.
- Provide internal reports on relationship health, opportunities for improvement, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor turnaround times, service quality, and problem-resolution outcomes affecting physicians.
- Maintain an organized CRM or tracking tool to monitor physician activity and outreach.
Communication & Support - Coordinate meetings, rounds, check-ins, and strategic discussions with new and existing physician partners.
- Ensure physicians receive timely updates, patient status information, and operational communication.
- Gather continuous feedback to improve workflows and enhance physician satisfaction.
- Serve as the consistent communication bridge between physicians and internal teams.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Communications, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with physicians, clinics, healthcare operations, or pharmacy services preferred.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple relationships, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in physician relationship management, medical sales, or provider engagement roles.
- Background in specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or healthcare operations.
- Familiarity with prescribing workflows, referral processes, and clinical coordination.
- Ability to interpret engagement data and present growth opportunities.
- Existing relationships with providers or clinical groups is a plus.
- Understanding of EMR workflows, prior authorizations, specialty pharmacy operations, or care coordination.
