Job Title: Respiratory Therapists
Part Time: 24 hours/week, Day shift
About the Department: Located in the scenic rolling hills of Grand Blanc, Genesys Health System combines the charm of a small city with the amenities of a larger healthcare network. Known for its acclaimed golf courses and annual PGA Tour Champions stop, Grand Blanc offers a high quality of life with top-rated schools and easy access to Flint, Detroit, and Northern Michigan. At Genesys, our Respiratory Therapy department is dedicated to delivering exceptional care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, working collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to enhance patient respiratory health and rehabilitation.
Role Overview: As a Respiratory Therapist at Genesys Health System, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and managing patients¿ respiratory conditions. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, administer respiratory care modalities, and educate patients and families. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, ensuring they receive the highest level of care.

What You Will Do: - Assess patient cardiopulmonary status and establish respiratory treatment plans based on physician orders. - Administer respiratory care modalities such as SVN, IPPB, CPT, and USN, and manage oxygen delivery devices. - Perform diagnostic procedures like blood gas sampling and pulmonary function studies. - Prepare and administer inhalant medications, monitoring patients for adverse reactions. - Collaborate with physicians and nurses to adjust ventilator settings and wean patients from mechanical ventilation. - Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory therapy procedures and advancements.
What You Will Need: Required Qualifications: - Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 months of hire. - Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained within 3 months of hire. - Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire. - Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Preferred Qualifications: - Certified Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 12 months of hire (required for Special Care Nursery positions). - Respiratory therapy experience preferred.
