REGISTERED NURSE / INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Health System, you will utilize your independent professional judgment and analytical skills to provide a full range of nursing services to patients. You will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring a focus on clinical competence, compassion, and cost-consciousness. Your work will directly support patients and their families, contributing to positive health outcomes and a seamless healthcare experience.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate the development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay and resource utilization.
  • Provide patient care that respects individual rights, dignity, values, and cultural preferences.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety measures, and self-care, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and addressing acute changes in patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate discharge planning.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.
  • Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
