Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Genesys Hospital

  • 5% Market Pay Differential
  • Increased Night Shift Premium: 10%
  • Sign On Bonus: 6000.00
  • $2 Weekend Differential
  • Schedule: Part-time Night Shift 7pm - 7:30am Weekdays & Every 3rd Weekend (48 - 60 Hours Per Pay)

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Genesys Hospital, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. What You Will Do

  • Coordinate the development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.
  • Provide patient care that respects individual rights, dignity, values, culture, preferences, and expressed needs.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety measures, medications, and self-care, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures according to established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and appropriate referrals for continued care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acute care or a related healthcare setting.
  • Specialized certifications relevant to the clinical area.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
  • Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
