Job Description
Sign On Bonus: $5,000
Schedule: Full Time Days, Rotating Weekends, Rotating Holidays
Location: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital - Grand Blanc, MI In-patient Rehab Unit
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Primarily in Rehab, but some crossover to Inpatient therapy is possible.
Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of patients’ conditions.
- Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
- Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of each patient.
- Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Physical Therapist bachelor degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current State of Michigan licensure. Will consider those who will be licensed within 30 days of applying.
- Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross. obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
