Job Description
Cardiac Device Technician - Cardio - 40 Hours - Days
Eligible for Full-Time Benefits
Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Oversees device programming including the integration and reprogramming of devices and monitoring of patients. Responsibilities:
- Educates patients regarding procedures. Addresses and communicates patient concerns regarding devices to physicians.
- Administers, monitors and reprograms devices.
- Maintains documentation of reported information and may perform additional clerical duties as assigned.
- Maintains supply inventory.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma with 2 years' experience - associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Certified device technician who is familiar with reviewing cardiac device reports and alerts as well as reprogramming settings for the device preferred.
- Experience with post op wound care preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:
- Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
