  • Schedule: FullTime Day Shift Weekend Option 7am - 7:30pm, 72 hours per pay. The 3rd day will be based on the needs of the department. Weekend hours are defined as 3pm Friday thru 7:00am Monday. All qualified hours on the weekend are eligible for the $15/hour weekend premium
  • Sign On Bonus: $10,000
  • This is a Med Surg, Ortho, Stroke and Pulmonary 45 bed unit.

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

RN- Inpatient Weekend regularly scheduled to work weekend shifts between Friday 3p - Monday 7:30a in a hospital inpatient unit, with standard weekend commitment to work 20 of 24 weekend shifts per 12-week schedule for a minimum of 10 weeks. Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Minimum of 1 year RN experience; if Nurse Resident, all residency requirements must be completed including clinical requirements.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  • Current RN licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS).
