Position Summary
This position is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statesmen according to monthly close schedule.
- Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accountants.
- Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
- Assist and ensure all supporting schedules for year end audit are complete.
- Review all journal entries on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Prepares and enters monthly journal entries for closing of periods in order that financial statements can be prepared.
- Performs bank reconciliation and related journal entries for review by the Controller and approval by the CFO.
- Completes weekly and monthly reporting requirements for upper-management correctly and timely.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience in producing financial statements, analyzing financial information, managing financial systems, and financial audit preparation.

- Must be able to multi-task and problem solve.
- Must be able to type 40 wpm and use a 10-key calculator
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaborative with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity and problem solving.
- High level of analytical and problem solving abilities.
- General computer proficiency.

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
