Currently, Goyette Mechanical Company has an immediate opening for an experienced drain cleaner to join our team. A Drain Cleaning Technician is responsible for diagnosing, clearing, and preventing blockages in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems. This role involves operating specialized drain cleaning equipment, identifying plumbing issues, and delivering high-quality customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.

Job Description:

• Inspect and diagnose clogged or slow drains using tools such as drain snakes, augers, and video inspection cameras
• Clear blockages in sinks, toilets, floor drains, sewer lines, and storm drains
• Perform hydro-jetting and other advanced drain cleaning techniques
• Identify underlying plumbing issues and recommend appropriate repairs or preventative solutions
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative drain cleaning services
• Maintain and operate company vehicles and equipment safely
• Accurately document service calls, findings, and completed work
• Provide professional, courteous customer service and explain service recommendations
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

• Previous plumbing or drain cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to operate drain cleaning equipment and hand tools
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Plumbing apprentice certification or trade school training (not required)
• Experience with sewer camera inspections and hydro-jetting systems

Work Environment

• Field-based role requiring travel to customer locations
• May require evening, weekend, or emergency on-call work
