The Teacher of Students with Cognitive Impairment is responsible for the instructional program and implementation of activities for the students in the assigned classroom. Responsible for the coordination of the activities of the assigned paraprofessional and support staff providing services for students in the assigned area. AvailableOne (1) full-time position, 7.0 hours per day, 186 days per year (balanced calendar). SalaryCertificated Salary Schedule. Genesee Intermediate Education Association (GIEA). A competitive salary schedule featuring educational pay lanes and steps. Years of service will be considered. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law. QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree required. Valid Michigan teacher's certificate required with approval in cognitive impairment. ExperienceDemonstrated successful student teaching experience required; two years of experience preferred.
