GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of Program/Department Manager, performs responsible tasks in providing liaison and monitoring services to Genesee Health System (GHS) clients and programs; facilitates the exchange of information between Genesee Health System Services and hospitals regarding clients and programs; serves as liaison between GHS, Probate Court, group homes, Crisis Residential facilities, Crisis Stabilization Team, clinical programs, and the Prosecutor's Office; performs related work as required for persons on an AOT, or persons potentially in need of an AOT.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters in Social Work and Michigan Master Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Clinical. Will consider a candidate with a Limited License as a Masters Level Social Worker (LLMSW) credential AND one (1) year clinical experience with severely mentally ill persons OR a candidate with a Master’s degree in a human service field (defined as Counseling/Guidance or Psychology), who also must possess a Master Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential. The employee with an LLMSW must take and pass the ASWB Examination within four (4) years of hire to retain employment. The employee with an LLMSW must also make application for the LMSW upon completion of 4000 hours in order to retain employment. OR Master's in Psychology and Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) credential. Will consider a candidate with a Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP) credential AND one (1) year clinical experience with severely mentally ill persons. The employee with a TLLP must make application for the LLP upon completion of 2000 hours AND must take and pass the Examination for Professional Practice within four (4) years of hire to retain employment. OR Master’s in Nursing and licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan AND one (1) year clinical experience with severely mentally ill persons. OR Bachelor in Social Work and Michigan Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential AND three (3) years clinical experience with severely mentally ill persons. OR Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (defined as Counseling/Guidance or Psychology), who also must possess a Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential AND three (3) years clinical experience with severely mentally ill persons. The employee with an LLBSW must take and pass the ASWB Examination within four (4) years of hire to retain employment. The employee with an LLBSW must also make application for the LBSW upon completion of 4000 hours in order to retain employment. OR Bachelor’s in Nursing and licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan, AND three (3) years clinical experience with persons with mental illness.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours. Ability to physically perform the tasks. Must be willing to obtain and maintain MCBAP credentials appropriate to level of licensure and level of experience.
PREFERENCES: Experience working with individuals with substance use disorder. Experience working with individuals under court orders for mental health treatment.
