Committee Description

The Board of Commissioners approved the advertisement of four appointments to the Genesee Health System Board of Directors: one for a Primary Consumer seat and three for General Public seats for 3-year terms expiring March 31, 2029.

Genesee Health System (GHS) is Genesee County's public mental health provider. GHS has provided services to Genesee County residents for nearly 60 years. GHS is guided by a mission of supporting recovery, prevention, and the overall health and wellness of individuals and the community. As Genesee County's public behavioral health system, GHS continues to grow its impact through expanded services and strong community partnerships, including school-based supports, mobile crisis response, peer-led suicide prevention efforts, and law enforcement co-response initiatives.
