MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree -AND- two (2) years' experience as a Supervisor in social welfare planning;

-OR-

Bachelor's degree -AND- four (4) years' experience as a supervisor in social welfare planning;

-OR-

At least eight (8) years' experience as a Supervisor with Genesee County Community Action Resource Department;

-OR-

An equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable by the GCCARD Director.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.

JOB SUMMARY: Plans, organizes and administers the operation of the Neighborhood Service Center Programs; this position is exempt and appointed by the GCCARD Director; works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of GCCARD; performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• Trains, supervises and evaluates the Neighborhood Service Center Program's staff in the performance of their assigned duties;
• Develops, implements and monitors the financial and statistical reporting systems for all Neighborhood Service Center Program operations;
• Develops and submits annual refunding proposals for the Neighborhood Service Center Programs;
• Develops, implements and monitors Neighborhood Service Center Programs operation's policy to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, agency and contractual requirements;
• Makes presentations to various decision-making groups such as the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, social welfare agencies and public service groups to secure funding, provide project information and network support.
