Starting Pay: $18.7322 Hourly ($38,963)
Step A: $20.4072 Hourly ($42,447)
Step B: $23.5649 Hourly ($49,015)
Step C: $24.7615 Hourly ($51,504)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (one from both A and B)

A. At least one of the following:

  1. Sixty (60) semester hours with at least twenty (20) semester hours in the field of computer science, information sciences, or a closely related field.
    -OR-
  2. Two (2) years current IT work experience supporting SCCM, ManageEngine Desktop Central, or other end user computing management systems.

B. Minimum Certification

  1. Obtain CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of employment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Certifications and other job-related trainings will be required and will change from time to time as determined by the CIO.

Must be available to respond 24/7 to address systems issues on an as needed basis when required.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs work assisting other IT staff with the installation, administration, and optimization of desktop and mobile computing solutions and related devices, to achieve high reliability and performance. Maintains the proper configuration of end user computing devices through the use of workstation images and software deployment packages in SCCM or other end user computing management systems. Ensures the availability of systems, new implementations, ongoing management and patching of desktop and mobile environments. Ensures the physical security, integrity, and safety of desktop and mobile devices. Assists in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all hardware, software, and communication links. Works under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer or designated staff member.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in deploying and maintaining end user computing management systems for software deployment and patching.
  • Deploy and maintain end user computing devices and peripherals.
  • Implement and maintain security solutions, including patch management, and anti-virus, on all supported systems.
  • Update documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, system changes, service records and security configuration.
  • Manage equipment including: desktop, mobile devices, printers, conference room equipment, and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Assist with monitoring the operation and performance of managed systems and troubleshoot and resolve problem areas as needed including but not limited to upgrades and patches.
  • Research relevant technology products, services protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the IT industry.
  • Attend training (seminars, conferences, trade shows, or other ongoing education) to ensure minimum skill levels and certifications (or equivalent) in all applicable technologies, and to ensure familiarity with new and emerging technologies and trends in supported systems.
  • Ensure consistent documentation, training and certification on systems, processes and Procedures.
