GENERAL FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for bidding/engaging appraisal services as requested, reviewing the appraisals upon receipt from the outside vendor, and communicating the results of the review to internal customers. The Sr. Commercial Reviewer is responsible for ensuring that all established performance standards are met, that proper workflow of their assigned work is maintained, that all appraisals ordered comply with regulatory requirements, and that the review of all appraisals are done in accordance with current Appraisal Policy and Procedures. The Sr. Commercial Reviewer will handle all levels of assignments, including the extremely complex and most difficult assignments.

While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily review of new service requests and implementing the bid/engage process in accordance with department standards.
- Monitor work-in-progress via Internet-based tracking system
- Advise RERG Manager of unusual service requests or improper appraisals.
- Promptly answer daily questions from internal clients or vendors relating to appraisals to be ordered, appraisals in progress, completed appraisals and their review, or appraisal policy and procedures.
- Validations of prior appraisals.
- Consulting for various loan groups as requested.
- Immediately report to the RERG Manager any improprieties from vendors or internal clients that may cause regulatory concern.
- Upon receipt of appraisals from vendors, complete the required level of review in accordance with department standards.
- Coach and assist other team members as needed.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- State Certified General Appraisal License - must be maintained.
- Minimum 7 years of commercial/residential appraisal experience and/or banking experience in a real estate-related department.
- Commercial Review experience preferred
- (MAI) Designation preferred.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong technological skills preferred.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
