Summary:
The Financial Coordinator will be part of the Finance team and will collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager on various projects and tasks. Responsible for the administration and validation of all financial aspects, the Financial Coordinator will help create new construction projects in our systems, ensure active integration between our various softwares, and be the financial steward of our company credit cards. The Financial Coordinator will work closely with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure seamless collaboration between Field and Financial activities. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the expectations of this role.
Five Key Roles of the Financial Coordinator:
- Being the Finance Team point-of-contact for internal & external parties, collaborating, advising, or redirecting where necessary
- Initiation of all newly awarded projects in our various systems, as well as validation of project information throughout the project’s lifecycle
- Daily synchronization of all necessary financial data between our various systems
- Administration, management, and enforcement of our company credit card and reimbursement processes / policies
- Proficient understanding of our various systems & capabilities to support our teams through various issues and navigate proper solutions
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sending recurring reports to our Finance and Operations teams, where necessary (including Weekly Scorecards, Overhead Detail per Business Unit, etc)
- Researching Requirements in each State & Locality that we are looking to work in and filing the proper documentation in a timely fashion (may require collaboration for information)
- Understanding of our Job Progress Reporting to assist inquiries from Operations
- Facilitation of our Business Unit Billing Projection workbooks, in tandem with our Analyst team
- Occasional Ad Hoc projects & relevant tasks may be assigned
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Collegiate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & strong aptitude to learn new systems/software
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Travel:
Travel is not required for this position.
Work Environment:
As a Financial Coordinator, you will be subject to a traditional office setting. The employee must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
