| ELGA Credit Union - Custodian (Part-Time) Location: ELGA Headquarters (Grand Blanc) Classification: Non-Exempt Role: ELGA Credit Union is searching for a part-time custodian to help maintain the headquarters building in Grand Blanc, MI. The qualified applicant will provide outstanding service, while performing a variety of custodial duties in order to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the building. Applicant must be detailed oriented and have the ability to work on their own. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 35% - Sweeps and mop tile floors. Vacuums carpets and rugs. 25% - Cleans and sanitizes toilets, sinks and mirrors daily. Stocks supplies in restrooms as needed. 10% - Empty all trash cans. Replaces all liners as needed including outside receptacles. 10% - Cleans and sanitizes all kitchen and breakroom areas daily. 5% - Removes salt, snow and debris (trash, cigarette butts, etc.) from entrance and common areas. Cleans glass on entrance doors daily. 5% - Notifies Management of supplies to be ordered and repairs that need to be made. 5% - Keeps cleaning supply room neat and stocked. 5% - Dust desks when needed or if requested by associates. Performance Measurements: 1. To meet established expectations of ELGA's Core Factors including but not limited to Accountability, Attitude, Communication, Competence, Continuous Improvement & Innovation and Relationship Building. 2. To maintain the facility so that it is clean, safe and in good condition at all times. 3. To ensure cleaning supplies are ordered as required, to maintain adequate levels with zero waste. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: 1-2 years of custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required. The role can be learned in hours, days, or weeks. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Normal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contacts within the organization. Contact involves routine, non-sensitive issues. Member or vendor contact is limited to incidental contact. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
